Job Description: **DIRECTOR, STRATEGIC PLANNING & PERFORMANCE** Victoria or Vancouver **The opportunity** Our Strategy & Planning team is expanding and we are seeking a skilled leader to join our dynamic team. As the Director, Strategic Planning & Performance, you are accountable for leading the strategic planning process and driving corporate development in alignment with BC Ferries’ long-term strategic direction. Working with a small team, you spearhead the development, and track the evolution of a multi-year strategic plan and an integrated corporate business plan. In collaboration with senior leaders across the organization, you also monitor and report out on the results of strategic initiatives while ensuring key performance indicators and risk mitigation strategies are in place. **The Role** Reporting to the Vice President, Strategy & Planning, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as: - Developing and maintaining a strategic plan outlining long-term goals and objectives - Organizing and leading the annual strategic planning process with the executives, senior leaders and Board of Directors - Collaborating with leaders throughout the organization to analyze and determine the company’s competitive edge, evaluate risks and identify action plans in alignment with strategies - Leading the development of a robust strategic investment process to create a portfolio of prioritized initiatives aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives - Working closely with senior leaders to identify necessary resources and develop budgets to support the achievement of strategic initiatives - Leading the development and implementation of key performance indicators and dashboards to monitor and measure the effectiveness of all strategic initiatives - Facilitating strategic dialogues with senior leaders and the Board of Directors - Spearheading the development of knowledge management and related communications to enhance the tracking of organizational performance targets - Organizing and leading regular strategy performance review meetings with senior leaders to assess progress against strategic objectives - Creating an environment of continuous improvement by engaging the broader organization to leverage and contribute back knowledge to inform the business planning cycle **What you bring to the team** You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or related discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred. You bring 10+ years of experience in strategic and business planning and corporate performance management and leadership in large, complex organizations. You also have 4-6 years’ experience leading change within complex (multi-role) organizations of over 100 people.
