**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsibilities:

- Work with all marketing colleagues to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate French translation of Sage marketing content.
- Effectively prioritize and manage translation requests to meet deadlines and deliver high quality and market focused copy.
- Use language and industry-specific glossaries, and create and manage terminology databases and language style guides for Sage.
- Be detail oriented and focused on content translation for the majority your day.
- Research a wide range of terminology and language-specific phrases to facilitate the accurate translation of material. If necessary, participate in discussions regarding most market specific terminology.
- Proofread, review, edit work and make changes as needed.
- Liaise with colleagues to clarify details and ensure the smooth delivery of the final asset to their specification.
- Stay current with industry tools, terminology and resources used to provide translation services.
- Ensure brand consistency and clarity of style across all external communication, respecting the message conveyed by the original text.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Translation degree or certification or equivalent experience required
- Advanced knowledge of SDL Trados and able to work with a variety of file formats specifically IDML, Word and HTML.
- Translation project management experience - management of concurrent projects
- Expert language skills in English and French. Expert knowledge of language and domain-specific dictionaries and glossaries, and socio-culture concerns of target markets.
- Understanding of business management and accounting concepts
- 2+ years of proven English to French translation and French proofreading experience
- Excellent attention to detail and sharp eye for spotting inconsistencies, typos, misspelled words, and grammatical errors in French

Preferred, but not required:

- Marketing experience or education
- Experience working with software companies
