BEL Operator Ops P1- Process Operator Technician

The Process Operator Technician training program offers a progression through various production areas, as well as the opportunity to receive a journeyperson trade certification. Process Operator Technicians are responsible for monitoring the refinery and minefield processes and making adjustments to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable operation.

What you’ll do:
- Independently monitor process conditions and equipment operation such as flows, temperatures, pressures, pumps, fans, pressure vessels, dryers, centrifuges, elevators, conveyors, compactors, screens, etc.- Make changes to process set points to improve refinery efficiency and/or avoid upset conditions.- Collect, analyze and interpret results of process samples.- Identify maintenance work/issue work requests and perform housekeeping duties.- Assist in training new area operators and participation in Mosaic's safety programs.

What you’ll need:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.- Experience working in an industrial setting with process and/or trades experience an asset.- Mechanical aptitude and ability to resolve process upsets through troubleshooting and problem solving.- Ability/desire to learn independently; self-motivated, enthusiastic.- Shift work is required.- Experience with HMI or production software an asset.- Trades training an asset - specifically in millwrighting, pipefitting, instrumentation, power engineering or electrical trade.
