Optical Assistant

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries and concerns
- Perform basic eye exams and measurements, including pupillary distance
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Maintain inventory of eyewear and accessories
- Keep the store clean and organized

**Skills**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of different types of eyewear and lens options
- Familiarity with vision insurance plans and billing procedures
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills for entering customer information and processing orders

We are a growing clinic with the focus on providing exceptional eye exams and eyewear. We are looking for an enthusiastic Optical Assistant to join our team. If you possess great interpersonal skills and you like working with the public you would be a great addition to our team. This position requires excellent customer service skills and organization.

The job responsibilities include: greeting patients, booking appointments and performing recalls, answering the phone and taking orders for contacts or glasses, helping choose eyewear, pre-testing patients and other administrative tasks.

Our clinic hours are Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday. We are currently looking for a team player who will have the opportunity to grow with our practice.

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
