We’re looking for a Event Server to join our diverse & vibrant team and become part of the ATCO family. ATCO Energy operates 2 lines of business comprising of it Energy and Home Services division and the Blue Flame Kitchen. We like to call ourselves the A-Team

The Blue Flame Kitchen is our oldest brand, with a 90-year history in Alberta. The Blue Flame Kitchen (BFK) provides classes, recipes, take away meals, catering, and delicious café services. If you want to help fuel and inspire home chefs across the world, roll up your sleeves and join our team. We provide a collaborative environment with a diverse team who loves to find ways to connect —inside the office and outside the kitchen.

Reporting to the Supervisor - Operations, Blue Flame Kitchen, the event server is responsible for providing a warm, friendly, and hospitable welcome to our guests at the BFK learning center during Café hours, public classes, and private events at ATCO Park. We have part-time event server positions available, hours vary from **6 to 35 per week depending on business needs and time of the year.** A typical schedule can include shifts Monday through Sunday, mornings, afternoons, and evenings. _During the last 4 months of the year, our event schedule kicks into high gear with events five days a week._ There are also occasional opportunities to support with administrative duties and provide support for BFK Café. Additionally, you will support our kids’ camps that run for four consecutive weeks in the summer.

**On a daily basis, you’ll.**
- Setup, and teardown of our events & classes
- Serve food and beverages during events/programs
- Work alongside chefs/cooks in our event space
- Maintain a clean and orderly dining/event area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager.
- Maintain personal hygiene and wellness
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, guests and clientele

**What you have**:

- AGLC Pro Serve
- 1 -2 years’ experience in a restaurant/hotel/hospitality environment
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Food and recipe knowledge is an asset, but not required
- Serving experience is an asset, but not required
- POS Systems experience is an asset
- May be required to pass a Vulnerable Sector Search to work with our kids for summer camps.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to perform duties quickly and under pressure
- Honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior
