**Finance Coordinator**

We provide primary health care through a range of options including prevention, assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Our team includes health professionals, educators and support workers representing both traditional Anishinaabe and contemporary models of care, and uses wholistic health and community development concepts.

The position supports the organization’s success by performing tasks assigned by the Finance Manager. These tasks may vary from time to time with the evolution of the organization and may include but not be limited to the responsibilities listed below. The position is part of the administration unit of the organization, reporting directly to the Finance Manager and supporting the financial management function. The position is challenged to respond to a wide variety of individual demands in a timely manner, within the constraints imposed by policy and procedure.

**NOTE**:Anishinaabe traditional practices involve cultural ceremonies and burning sacred medicines including tobacco, sweetgrass, sage and cedar within the work setting.**

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- OSSD with some bookkeeping/accounting exposure;
- one to two years’ experience working in a similar position;
- demonstrated interpersonal communication and problem solving skills;
- ability to work both independently, and as a team member;
- excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- highly organized, detail orientated with ability to prioritize tasks and produce high standard of work;
- excellent time management, analytical and decision making skills;
- ability to process information with strict attention to accuracy;
- commitment to maintain strict confidentiality of information;
- deep understanding and experience of Indigenous culture, values, and perspectives as well as traditional and contemporary health care practices, and wholistic health and wellbeing; ability to speak and understand Anishinaabemowin a definite asset;
- experience working in an Indigenous organization; understanding and/or willingness to learn of Indigenous culture and values;
- proof of immunization in compliance with policy requirements is mandatory;
- valid drivers’ license, own vehicle and willingness and ability to travel required;
- criminal records check and current drivers’ abstract required;
- commitment to ongoing training and professional development relevant to job requirements; and
- positive attitude and capacity to act as a healthy lifestyle role model.
