**Summary of the Opportunity**

SelfDesign Learning Foundation is seeking an experienced, online K-12 BC Indigenous educator. In this role, you will provide support to the SelfDesign Learning Community (SDLC) Educational Program team, supporting the Elder in Residence and other aspects of Indigenous Educational programming, furthering our goals of reconciliation and decolonisation of curriculum.

This is a 3-month temporary part-time contract opportunity, from April to June 2025.

**Work Environment**

We are a remote organization.

We operate during Pacific Time zone business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm.

You set your own hours of work, between the business hours noted above. You also need to be available for occasional online meetings during these same hours. Meetings are scheduled in advance.

**Timelines**

Contract start date: April 1, 2025

Contract end date: June 30, 2025

With potential for a contract in the 2025-26 learning year.

Budget: $5,122.00

Approximately 10 hours per week for 13 weeks

**Contract Details**

**Oversight**

You will work at the direction of the Educational Program Team Lead.

**Services Required**
- Supporting the SDLC Elder-in-Residence
- Gathering resources for the online Learning Experience Library (resource collection) and K-12 curriculum
- Decolonizing the Library Learning Experiences
- Supporting the Cultural Learning Grant procedure
- Conducting surveys, questionnaires, community gatherings for families to encourage idea sharing and continuous quality improvement of SelfDesign offerings

**Experience and Credentials**
- Degree, certification or an equivalent combination of work experience in Indigenous education and K-12 curriculum in British Columbia.

**Mandatory Requirements**
If you are offered and accept this contract opportunity, and you are not a BC Certified Educator, you will need to:
Undergo a Criminal Record Check at your own expense (approximately $28) - if required
