Brantford, Canada The Rope Factory Event Hall Spool Gourmet Poutine & Mac 'N Cheese Full time

**Unique Management / Administration Position**

We are currently offering a unique Dual Management position at The Rope Factory Event Hall and Spool Gourmet Poutine & Mac ‘N Cheese.

**The Rope Factory Event Hall** is Brantford’s Premier Intimate Event Space. We host Weddings, Concerts, Comedy Shows, Corporate Events and much more. If it’s something fun and it’s happening in Brantford - it’s likely happening at The Rope Factory

**Spool Gourmet Poutine & Mac ‘N Cheese** is a pop-up takeout that was started out of The Rope Factory kitchen during the COVID shutdowns. Due to its growth and popularity, we recently moved it across the walkway from The Rope Factory and we run it 4 - 5 days per week.

Running both businesses under The Rope Factory umbrella, we’re looking for somebody who can step into a hybrid role of Manager/Administrator morphed into one.

Your duties would include:
**Managing Spool Gourmet Poutine & Mac ‘N Cheese**

You’ll be in charge of staffing, scheduling and the ordering and receiving of stock. We make many items in-house and prepare fresh with local ingredients. You will step in to work front of house during rushes, providing exceptional customer service to our customers.

Reporting will be completed at the end of each shift and a weekly meeting to go over previous weeks sales, discuss the week ahead, plan and execute promotions.

As our business continues to grow, you’ll be hiring and managing our staff to ensure that we’re operating at peak efficiency at all times to continue delivering the high quality menu items we’ve become known for.

**Assisting w/ Management of The Rope Factory Event Hall**

You will assist with Weddings and Events at The Rope Factory Event Hall, this includes being on-hand to ensure our clients have an exceptional experience with us. Our events are a total team effort, everyone on-hand assists in everything from moving tables and chairs, clearing tables, handling requests from our renters and setup and teardown of the events.

You’ll also be handling the Administration for the Hall, which includes executing Rental Agreements, invoicing, touching base with upcoming rental clients to ensure they’re ready for their event and assist them in being prepared.

**This is a salaried position with compensation of $42,000 per year**

Benefits will be provided after a probationary period and salary will be reviewed annually. Your work week will be 40 hours per week and will mostly be Tuesday - Saturday. There is a growth opportunity here, as our long term plan is to own and operate a small portfolio of venues, each with unique offerings.

We need somebody who is available on weekends and is reasonably flexible with their schedule, as expected work times will be constantly changing based on our bookings. For example, during peak Wedding season your week could be working half days during the week, then working 12 hour days on the weekends assisting us with rentals and a busy takeout.

While we will expect you to get your hands dirty with us and become part of the team, we also know that a healthy work/life balance is vital - we usually know our schedule months in advance and we can adjust schedules accordingly to ensure you’re able to make plans for your personal time.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Management experience - any kitchen related experience would be a huge asset, although not a dealbreaker for the right person.
- You are organized with attention to detail. Contracting and invoicing is vital to our success, as we’re constantly executing contracts, collecting payments and even providing quotes to potential renters.
- You are reliable and dependable. You’re a leader who can also be a team player. We’re often doing milestone events such as Weddings, where we need all hands on deck to make the event perfect for our clients.
- You are personable, friendly and not afraid to talk to people. A large part of this role will be Customer Service as well as communication with our staff to ensure their needs are also met.
- You’re looking for a fun place to work, where you will be valued and treated as part of the team. Fun perks available, such as personal rentals of our hall, discounted food and working/attending unique events such as Concerts and Comedy Shows.
- Smart Serve and Food Handlers Certification, if you don't already have them -- you're willing to complete the courses to get them.
Does this sound like the perfect opportunity for you? If so, we invite you to apply.

**Salary**: From $42,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

- Company events
- Discounted or free food
- Flexible schedule
Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
