**What you’ll do**:

- We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated
**Social Media Coordinator** to support the execution of marketing and communications strategies across our growing social channels. As the Social Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy in partnership with our Marketing & Communications Specialist. You will create powerful stories and content that resonates with the interests of our intended audiences, and ultimately set the stage for giving and philanthropy while building on BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s brand.
- You’ll oversee our social media platforms, create content and engagement. Acting as the bridge between the organization and our online community, you’ll work with designers, writers, foster an exceptional experience for our online community.
- More specifically you will:

- Work with our Marketing & Communications Specialist to drive optimal reach, engagement and communicate what makes BC Children’s Hospital Foundation so special.
- Keep the brand at the forefront of digital storytelling on social media through innovative approaches and build relationships with internal teams, patient families and hospital campus staff.
- Engage with new audiences on various social media platforms (high proficiency and understanding of the differences in approaches to different platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, X and others)
- Capture content at galas, events and in-hospital moments to help unleash our story.
- Create channel specific content that’s creative, clever and on-brand.
- Manage annual content calendars from conceptualization to execution, including the development of all creative required (proficiency in creating video, photography for social media use).
- Work with our Marketing & Communications Specialist and writers to be the voice of our social media channels to engage, nurture and foster our online community.
- Develop and maintain the patient family database as needed for time efficient selection, allocation and communication.
- Coordinate approvals of internal teams, patient families and hospital campus staff content, including print, written, and multimedia assets.
- Understand data and analytics to consistently report on and refine our content and report back to stakeholders.
- Manage merch inventory and monthly overview calendar.
- Support other team projects and initiatives, as needed.

**What you bring**:

- You are not only enthusiastic, proactive and highly organized, but you are also passionate about developing great relationships and working collaboratively with various team members and stakeholders to help the Foundation pursue excellence in its communications and marketing activities. You aren’t just familiar with today’s social media channels and what makes key audiences tick, you have a passion for uncovering opportunities through innovative ideas and meaningful planning that allows you to see how social media plays a role in the consumer/ donor journey. You love working with others to proactively create great experiences for donors, and you find the opportunity to work with patient families meaningful and purpose-driven. You relish details and managing timelines and projects to ensure that the team is delivering high-quality support in a timely fashion, and you’re an experienced communicator with a hunger to learn and grow.
- In addition, the above qualifications, you will bring:

- A university degree or diploma in marketing, communications, or related area.
- 3+ years marketing communications experience as well as managing social media accounts.
- Undeniable attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of social media platforms.
- Social media fluency and aptitude for technology.
- A strong understanding of the nuances of writing copy for specific social platforms, audiences and intentions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with diverse internal and external partners.
- Excellent organization, project and time management skills, with the ability to milt-task and work calmly under pressure.
- Able to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a team member.
- Experience with Google Analytics and
