Juicy Joes is on the lookout for passionate and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cooks to join our dynamic kitchen team. If you have a love for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations, this role is for you

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare high-quality meals with attention to detail and presentation.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and ensuring proper cooking techniques.
- Prepare ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Ensure food safety standards are met consistently and maintain cleanliness in workstations and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and exceptional dining experiences.
- Contribute creative ideas for new menu items and meal presentations.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1 year of cooking experience in a professional kitchen.
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with kitchen staff.
- Reliable, hardworking, and dedicated work ethic with a positive, professional attitude.
- Strong multitasking abilities, able to handle multiple tasks while meeting time-sensitive goals.
- Capable of maintaining and improving kitchen organization.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A passion for cooking with a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.

**Position Details**:

- Full-time role
- Evening shifts only (5:00 PM - 1:00 AM)
- Vancouver, BC: Applicants must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate prior to starting.

**Compensation & Benefits**:

- Salary: $43,000 per year

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Education: Secondary School diploma (preferred)
- Experience:

- 1 year as a line cook (required)
- General cooking experience (preferred)
- Language: English fluency required; French not required.
- Education: Secondary School diploma (preferred)

**Certifications**:

- Food Handler Certification or equivalent (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, or equivalent (preferred)

**Work Location: In-person**
