**This Opportunity**
- We are currently looking to fill Full-Time and Part-Time positions as a PSW/Support Service Attendant/Health Care Aide role in the Niagara Region.
- Starting wage is $22.52 per hour, with paid travel time and mileage. This wage includes the $3.00 per hour temporary wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients ($18.77 starting).
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable vehicle required.

**Duties include the following**:

- Assisting consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures:

- Personal care
- Dressing/Grooming
- Rising/retiring
- Incontinence care upon training
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Range of motion exercises
- Light housekeeping duties
- Lifts and Transfers upon training
- Performing duties in a professional manner, which respects the dignity and right to privacy and maintains consumer and staff health and safety.
- Support Services Attendants will be required to work multiple shifts (i.e., workdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays) that vary between locations through the Niagara Region.

**Background / Qualifications**:

- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, older adults, or as an informal caregiver is considered an asset but not required.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Physical Demands Self Analysis Required upon hire.
- Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours.
- **Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation REQUIRED.**
