**Position: Food & Beverage Manager**

**Reports To: Director of Food & Beverage**

**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, the Food and Beverage Manager plays a critical role in leading and motivating the team to provide an unforgettable dining experience that embodies the unique Hard Rock culture. This position is essential to delivering exceptional guest satisfaction, team engagement, and outstanding operational results across multiple outlets, including Sessions Restaurant, Pools, GMT -5, In-Room Dining, and 1913 Speakeasy.

**Hours of Work**:
This is a full-time position, with work hours that align with business needs and guest demand, including a combination of AM and PM shifts.

**Food & Beverage Manager - Job Description**

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- **Leadership & Team Management**
- Lead, motivate, and coach a diverse team of Supervisors, Servers, Server Assistants, Bartenders, and Hosts to achieve performance excellence.
- Conduct training and onboarding for new team members, ensuring alignment with Hard Rock's service standards and brand ethos.
- Demonstrate a visible presence on the floor, providing hands-on support to the team during service and ensuring a positive and high-energy atmosphere.
- Facilitate pre-shift meetings and communicate daily objectives, menu updates, and special events to the team.
- **Guest Experience & Service Excellence**
- Drive exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high service and ambiance standards, ensuring guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Address guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally, aiming to exceed expectations at every interaction.
- Support the Vibe and service amplifier programs, reinforcing Hard Rock’s iconic guest service philosophy.
- **Operational Oversight**
- Ensure the readiness and cleanliness of all outlets prior to opening, conducting daily inspections.
- Oversee the opening and closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hotel policies.
- Monitor and maintain Micros POS systems, ensuring proper billing and seamless operations.
- **Revenue Generation & Financial Management**
- Implement strategies to drive revenue and profitability through promotions, cost control, and effective scheduling.
- Manage labour costs and productivity in alignment with budgetary guidelines.
- Complete monthly beverage inventory for Sessions Restaurant, monitor outlet expenses, and ensure compliance with budget targets.
- **Outlet Management**
- Oversee daily operations at Sessions while providing support to other outlets as required, including Pools, GMT -5, In-Room Dining, and 1913.
- Maintain comprehensive menu knowledge (breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar, and wine) to support team and guest needs.
- Step into serving or bartending roles as required on low-occupancy days to ensure smooth operations.
- **Financial & Operational Oversight**:

- Drive departmental financial performance through effective labor, waste, and cost management.
- Analyze sales data and guest feedback to make informed decisions on menu adjustments and offerings.
- Partner with vendors to negotiate contracts that maximize quality and value.
- **Safety & Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety policies, ensuring a safe environment for guests and employees.
- Manage and resolve guest and team member incidents, documenting and addressing issues to mitigate risk.
- **Team Performance & Education**:

- Foster continuous staff education and development, ensuring team members remain engaged and informed about operational updates and best practices.
- Collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage on performance management initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of two years’ leadership experience in food & beverage.
- University/College degree in Hospitality or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, and beverages.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of the restaurant team and larger food & beverage division.
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on teamwork, communication, and building strong stakeholder relationships.
- Service-oriented mindset, with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

**Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)**:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shifts.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 25 lbs.
- Seated use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
