Markham, Canada Tina's Bakery Full time

Since 1995, Tina's Bakery is baking artisan bread goodness serving GTA customers through its retail and wholesale business. We are looking to add a Full-Time experienced Baker to our team.

Prepare bread, rolls, muffins, pies, pastries, cakes, and cookies per the recipes. Develop new products per the customer demand.

**Job Duties**:
Perform some or all of the following duties:

- **Preparation**: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders. Clean and prep all baking materials for the specific job.
- **Production**:Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce and attend daily production meetings. Assemble all dry and wet goods for production. Utilize industrial equipment to facilitate efficient production.
- **Baking**: Bake mixed doughs and batters
- **Quality Management**: Ensure quality of products meets established standards. Ensure all baked goods are stored and packaged properly
- **Team Player & Leader**: Work alone or with a team to execute recipes. Mentor and lead junior baking assistant and other staff.
- **Health & Safety**: Handle all hot or dangerous items with care. Adorn all Health, Sanitation, and safety clothing

**Qualifications**:

- 2-5 years of experience in the similar role
- Firm understanding of the Metric and Imperial systems of measurements
- Can follow detailed written or verbal instructions precisely
- Mindset to work safely around hot or dangerous items
- Content with adhering to all Health and Safety dress-codes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Capable of standing for a 10 hour shift
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Baking: 2 years (required)
