**SMILE N PLAY DAYCARE**

We are a licensed home-based childcare facility providing a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for children aged 0-12 years. Our program is rooted in play-based learning and guided by BC’s Early Learning Framework. We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and qualified ECE to join our small but dedicated team.

**Duties**
- Directly work with the Operations Manager and Director/Owner.
- Supervise children and taking care of kids in the care. MAX (8)
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and experiences
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being
- Maintain daily records, observations, and communication with families
- Follow all Fraser Health and licensing regulations and safety standards
- Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, and cleaning duties
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members
- Manage and coordinate all facility maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facility.
- Have an ability to maintain a strong, positive, and supportive relationship with parents, families.
- Be familiar with Child Care Licensing Regulations in BC and the BC Early Learning Framework
- Stay up-to-date with changing government programs and requirements
- Ensure that the facility and equipment are kept safe for children.
- Early Childhood Education Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree in Child & Youth Care or relevant field is preferred
- Valid BC Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
- Valid First Aid / CPR-C
- Criminal Record Check required
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Effective communication skills in English to interact with staff at all levels and Parents.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Early Childhood Educator Certificate (ECE) from BC
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (Childcare-specific)
- Valid Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Immunization records as required by licensing
- Experience working in small-group or home-based settings is an asset
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

**Work Environment**:

- Cozy home-based facility with a low child-to-educator ratio
- Supportive and collaborative environment
- Fixed hours 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday

**Compensation**:

- Competitive wage based on experience and qualifications
- Wage Enhancement (WE) funding available for qualified applicants

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
