Skills Canada - Nova Scotia (SCNS) is a not-for-profit organization that provides opportunities for youth to explore skilled trades and technologies, discover their passions, and strive for excellence. The Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency (NSAA) stewards Nova Scotia's apprenticeship system, overseeing the training and certification processes for 71 trades across the construction, motive power, industrial/manufacturing, and service sectors. Together, the NSAA and SCNS are leveraging their partnership to strengthen communications regarding the skilled trades as a viable post-secondary career option through the creation and execution of a variety of promotional materials and media.

**About the Opportunity**

We are hiring a Marketing & Communications Manager (1-year contract with the possibility of extension) to lead the development and execution of a communications and marketing strategies, materials and promotions that supports the strategic plan and marketing campaigns of the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency.

As the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will take a lead role in developing and executing the communications strategies for the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency to promote the skilled trades as a quality career option. You are an exceptional writer who is highly skilled at telling clear and compelling stories and translating those stories through visual media. You will collaborate with NSAA staff and external partners, manage social media platforms, and prepare promotional materials, while ensuring the NSAA's brand and key messages are maintained.
