**Position Location**: North Vancouver

We are looking for a Financial Analyst join our Finance Team. This role is responsible to provide accurate and data-based information on the Company’s profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity. This role will research and analyze financial information to help Stong’s Market make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements. Ultimately, the incumbent will analyze financial data and prepare various accounting and financial reports based on this data and their research-backed opinions.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Prepare in-depth financial reports by compiling and aggregating data from the Company’s point of sale (POS) program, accounting systems, and supplemental data sources, to create complex, comprehensive reporting
- Prepare annual department budgets and provide analysis of their monthly financial results
- Work with Senior Managers and the Retail Management Team on various financial projects, such as shrink analysis
- Regularly review and analyze vendor pricing information
- Support the Controller and the Finance Team with period-end reporting, cash reconciliation, and accounts payable (AP)/accounts receivable (AR) transaction matching
- Create financial policies, procedures, and processes; and update as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- 3-4 years of experience and proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Accuracy and attention to detail

**Education and Experience**:

- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation (or in progress)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Working knowledge of SAGE 300 is an asset

**Physical Requirements**:

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- May be required to lift up to 15 pounds at times

**Salary**:
$65-75,000/annually
