We are looking to add an outgoing, passionate Early Childhood Educator to complement our already amazing team Our next amazing team member is an outstanding communicator, has the ability to take initiative, uses flexible thinking and can laugh and have fun, while leading a smaller group of children independently (or with mínimal support).

We are looking for the right fit for our team at one of our **Multiage classrooms** in Maple Ridge Multiage classrooms can have a maximum group size of 8 children ages 1 -5 years old.

**Requirements**:

- Provide outstanding care and supervision of children ages 1 to 5 years
- Collaborate, develop and execute age appropriate programming to foster children’s cognitive, physical, emotional and social development
- Ability to use age appropriate techniques/strategies in guiding behaviour
- Assess abilities and observe children for signs of potential developmental or behaviour challenges.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents/guardian and community services
- Effectively and professionally communicate with parents/guardians regarding a child’s day
- Ability to work in a team environment with a collaborative approach but also the ability to work independently
- Follow licensing requirements and maintain a clean and safe environment that protects the health and well-being of children
- Flexible thinking, creative approaches and ability to think on your feet.

**Qualifications**:

- Early Childhood Educator License to Practice is required (Infant and Toddler or SN training/certification is considered an asset)
- Knowledge of age appropriate childhood development and Early Childhood education practices and principles.
- Experience with various strategies and techniques for guiding children
- Excellent communication skills
- 1-3 years’ experience working with children ages 1 to 5 years
- Valid First Aid Certification
- Clean Criminal Record Check
- References
