About the Company The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board (DPCDSB) is a dynamic Catholic school board committed to the delivery of quality educational programs and services from a Catholic faith perspective. Position Summary Under the direction of the Supervisor/Designate, this position is responsible for collecting, maintaining and communicating promptly and accurately, daily attendance records for all students in the school in which they work, including reporting to school administration staff, and informing the parents/guardians of any absent student, through the automated system available to the secretary. Accurate student attendance records must be recorded and maintained daily in accordance with Board and Ministry regulations. Maintaining confidentiality is a requirement of this position. About the Role Attendance Secretary (1 position/1.00FTE) Salary Range: $1073.09/week-$1225.80/week Contract Dates: ASAP to no later than January 31, 2025 School: Cardinal Ambrozic Catholic Secondary School Qualifications (Under Review) The basic qualifications for this position include: - Secondary School Diploma - Two (2) years relevant office experience - Proficient in the use of Board provided computer-based technologies to create, manipulate, store and retrieve information, and communicate with others - Preferred experience in an educational setting - Experience with Student Information Systems And - Evidence from previous work history of satisfactory attendance and punctuality ALL new employees will be required to submit a current original criminal background check (CBC) including a "Vulnerable Sector Screening" (VSS) issued within 6 months prior to commencing employment with the Board.
