At TD Place you will have the opportunity to work with an amazing team of people at some of Ottawa’s highest profile events from the RedBlacks to the Ottawa 67s.

PICK AND CHOOSE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE.

A response guard should harness an adequate level of leadership skills. The guard possess the following abilities:

- A thorough knowledge of the stadium
- Knowledge of all access points necessary for said event
- Knowledge of the location of emergency equipment (first aid kits, AEDs, etc..)
- Knowledge of who to contact regarding inquiries that the guard may be presented with. This is coupled with a basic understanding of the roles of the different departments that are useful during events
- Knowledge of the prohibited items and how to manage situations that may arise regarding the items
- Knowledge and continuous compliance with the rules and regulations of the stadium
- Knowledge of the basic roles of each position and the ability to set up a rotation to handle guard breaks; adequate multi-tasking ability
- The ability to de-escalate situations, objectivity and effective communication skills
- The ability to manage and de-escalate individuals who are verbally and/or physically aggressive
- The ability to analyze and problem-solve in an effective manner
- Adequate report writing skills. The ability to provide a clear and concise description of events
- To be able to assist during major events during ingress/egress and emergency situations
- Knowledge of the stadium to be able to respond to alarms and react in a timely manner
- Ability to provide assistance to guests with needs

Key requirements
- A minimum of 2 year’s security experience in the Ontario security sector
- Hold a Valid Security licence, a valid First Aid Cert, a Smart Serve Licence
- Outstanding communication skills
- Have a passion for working with others to deliver a great event experience
- The ability to work weekends
- Ability to work and be on your feet for up to 10 hours
- Bring a positive welcoming attitude to your role
- French language fluency an advantage
