**About the Role - How you will Contribute to the Service**:
**Here’s What You Will Get to Do**:
- Installing, repairing, and replacing emergency lighting, mobile radio equipment, mobile workstation and other vehicle accessory equipment
- Troubleshooting technical issues related to existing and proposed equipment
- Tracking equipment failures for warranty replacement processes
- Providing technical support and information in the implementation and installation of existing, proposed and new equipment
- **Other related duties as assigned.**
**What You’ll Bring to the Role**:
**Education, Certifications and Qualifications**:
High school education plus one year of coursework in electrical, millwright or mechanic trades, vehicle maintenance courses and/or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Previous experience working on police and emergency vehicle
- 3 M installation
- Mechanic automotive license
- Automotive electrical technician certification
**Note**: The successful applicant will need to pass a background check to the satisfaction of the Service which will include reference checks with previous employers, verification of educational achievements, and a criminal background screen.

The starting salary for this role is **$42.64 per hour with an additional 4% vacation pay and 6% in lieu of benefits.**
This position is based out of our Oakville Headquarters facility which is located at the QEW and North Service Road West.
**Core Working Hours**: Core Working Hours: 35 hours per week: Monday - Friday. The length of the contract will be 12-months with the possibility of future extensions.
