MRG Events is looking for a Marketing & Events Coordinator to join the MRG Internship Program. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the responsibilities of this role will manage social media, marketing, and logistics for events, including content scheduling, data tracking, asset distribution, signage coordination, and invoicing support.

**ABOUT OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM**
The MRG Group Internship Program is designed to provide you with practical skills, valuable experiences, and exposure to real-world scenarios in the Experience industry.

The program is structured to ensure that 80% of your time is dedicated to performing activities specific to their role, while the remaining 20% is allocated to job shadowing, skill development, and team projects across various businesses within the MRG Group.

**ABOUT THE MRG GROUP**

The MRG Group is a leader in experience creation. In operation since 2008, The MRG Group has grown to become Canada’s largest independent entertainment company, and through its ownership of 10 hospitality properties and 6 venues across Canada, the business is passionate about providing positive shareable experiences for its guests, 500+ employees, and partners.

In addition, The MRG Group owns and operates an events business, travel company, digital publication, and ticketing service Admit One. In 2021, the business expanded its presence into the US, signing its first venue deals with properties in New York and California later that year.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with the creation and scheduling for social media campaigns for all events and set up ongoing posts for engagement during non-active event period;
- Set up and execute all Instagram posts working in conjunction with stakeholders;
- Catalog and track all data, photos, and statistics to be used by Events & Sponsorship for wrap reports and sales decks;
- Assist with marketing initiatives for events to include but not limited to all social media, websites, media buys, public relations etc.;
- Work with the graphic design team to track progress on print ads, digital ads, posters and vip invite graphics;
- Update and input data on event websites;
- Ensure that all relevant event assets are accurate, and distributed to partners, sponsors and events team for approval before going public;
- Work closely with graphic designer and printer on all event signage, from creation, review and working within print deadlines;
- Assist in determining strategic placement of signage in collaboration with Manager
- Assist in the organization & Inventory all signage - pre and post shows;
- Support and or place sponsor signage as required;
- Other signage coordination duties as required by event;
- Assist in booking small event suppliers and materials;
- Upload and organize online databases;
- Assist the team with invoicing; including labeling invoices and organizing in appropriate payment folders, paying online invoices, coordinating with accounting to track incoming invoices, credit card processing forms;
- Other duties as required.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms and how to engage with audiences online;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Experience working against deadlines;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to prioritize various tasks;
- Knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Mail);
- Valid BC Drivers Licence;
- Graphic design experience is considered an asset.
- Physical Effort: This position requires bending and lifting, substantial standing and walking.
- Working Conditions: Outdoor setting working with site crews and various support staff.

Start Date: January 14, 2025
End Date: May 30, 2025
