**DESCRIPTION**

A Skilled Labourer at our **Lopes Department 9 **locationis a worker that has acquired the necessary skills and training to complete a wide range of jobs such as repetitive production and manufacturing. Their duties may also include different types of manual labour and may include such tasks as cutting, forging, threading and welding.

**FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Moving materials to the worksite and ensuring that all tools and other equipment are safely set up.
- Operating equipment such as drills, hammers, shovels and other machinery.
- Obeying Health and Safety codes, as well as the company’s principles.
- Performing site and equipment inspections.
- Ensuring tasks are completed to deadlines.
- Other duties and tasks as required by supervisor.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- High school diploma or similar required.
- Trade school certification seen as an asset.
- Experience in safely using/handling hand and/or power tools, required.
- Hands-on inclined.
- Forklift experience.
- Crane experience.
- Driver’s license recommended.
- Great hand, eye, and foot coordination.
- Willingness to learn and be flexible.
- Ability to work productively independently and in a team environment.
- Flexible, self-motivated, positive attitude, and driven to achieve deadlines.
- Ability to communicate and read in English.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
