Chief Plant Operator

would like to work with a skilled professional team, Armour is presently seeking a Chief Plant Operator to
join our growing team at our Halifax, Nova Scotia location.

a Group A1 refrigerant, and operates at 1000kW or lower. The individual will provide plant supervision
within the audible and visual range of the alarm system for the plant and in the primary control area of
the plant. This role will be responsible for supervising qualified personnel who can manually control the
plant by starting, stopping, restarting or modulating the operations of the plant. Additional
responsibilities include:

- Providing mentorship, guidance and operational support to shift operators and maintenance

staff;
- Oversee shift operators on-site and ensure the plant is inspected every twenty-four (24) hours

and is monitored on-site and remotely for alarms;
- Assist in the planning and effective execution of plant operations;
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislative requirements, policies and practices for plant
- operations;- Prepare reports and updates for senior leadership as required;
- Plan and communicate preventative maintenance safety protocols to staff; and
- Liaise with leadership, staff and contractors in a professional manner.

They will hold at a minimum a Third (3rd) Class Power Engineering Ticket or higher, or a First (1st) or
knowledge of Refrigeration Plant Operations and is able to build successful working relationships and
operate with a high attention to detail.
