Forest Ridge Landscaping is a family-run landscape design, installation and maintenance company for over 25 years. We work on a variety of contracts throughout GTA and surrounding areas, with commercial, municipal and residential landscaping projects including hardscaping, softscaping, paving, earthworks, site servicing, grading, retaining walls, planting, and sodding.

**We are currently looking for: Construction Foreperson/Lead Hand**
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret landscape drawings and plans required and construction drawings, perform takeoffs, establish and monitor levels (laser, GPS, etc.)
- Working knowledge/proficiency with landscape construction and horticultural materials (incl. operation of equipment, installation of various plant materials, etc.).
- Experience with carpentry for the completion of concrete forms, fences, decks, pergolas, arbors, etc.
- Experience with natural and precast stone for the completion of walkways, retaining walls, patios, decorative walls, etc. is required
- Experience with machinery and grading works for a variety of items (concrete, asphalt, retaining walls, interlock, etc.) and knowledge of associated tools & materials required
- Familiarity with concrete (flatworks, structural and/or decorative walls, etc.) is an asset
- Effective planning, scheduling, productivity, time management and record keeping skills.
- Active engagement in mentorship, training, and coaching opportunities.
- Experience working within our industries: commercial, municipal and residential landscape construction.
- Ability to accurately assign duties and tasks with timelines to work crews.
- Check, lubricate, refuel and clean variety of equipment, report any malfunctions to Shop Manager or Operations Manager.
- Complete daily logs, various reports and progress logs.

**Position Requirements**
- 3+ years of experience in construction
- 2-3 years of experience leading a crew
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, clean abstract (D/A/Z license as well as previous truck/trailer experience a definite asset)
- Willingness to work extended hours/Saturdays
- Strong written and oral communication skills
