**LANDSCAPE LEAD HAND**

HML Landscaping is recruiting for an experienced Lead Hand for our Landscaping Construction Division. We offer competitive wages, health and dental benefits, company matched RRSPs and other perks (like free golf).

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ability to assist with leadership tasks, motivate, & delegate effectively inclusive of providing on the job training to crew members as required
- Build patios, retaining walls, decks, fences, etc. as per design and client specifications
- Plant trees, shrubs and plants as per design and client specifications
- Assist in managing sites in the absence of the supervisor
- Complete operating and labour tasks as required
- Quality management of work being performed on client sites
- Site inspections and follow up

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Landscape construction experience: 2 - 3 years
- Hardscape experience and asset
- Mature, reliable, physically fit, hands on and able to perform field work at a high standard
- Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain written time records, and work order documents
- Ability to organize and manage a high volume workload
- Ability to multi-task and focus on priorities
- Thorough knowledge & hands on competence of commonly used equipment and safe operating practices in municipal and commercial snow removal, commercial grounds maintenance and landscaping that are commonly used.
- Strong mechanical aptitude would be an asset
- Must follow the company's HSE program and complete all documentation required
- Valid driver’s licence (with clean driver’s abstract)
- Over the age of 25 years old (for fleet insurance purposes)
- Ability to operate equipment such as a mini hoe/ skid steer is an asset

**SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS**
- CSTS 2020 (required)
- Ground Disturbance Level 2 is an asset
- Standard First Aid is an asset
