This role will be responsible for Implementing, managing, supporting, and monitoring the Virtual and Storage environment, as part of Platform Services

**Responsibilities**:
Install, configure, monitoring and maintenance VMware ESX, ESXi, within vSphere/vCenter 6 and next generation environments.
Build, configure and deploy VMs and templates.
Install, configure, monitoring and maintenance all storage appliances including SAN, NAS, Replication and Backup storage appliances.
Perform planned & unplanned maintenance activities on an established cycle.
Maintain accurate and up to date inventory & documentation.
Responsible for standardizing the storage maintenance, provisioning, and decommissioning process.
Responsible for provisioning, maintaining, managing, and monitoring Chassis/Blade infrastructure
Physical racking/stacking/patching servers, tools, labeling and dressing cables
Ability to work in a 24 x 7 x 365 organization, including weekends and holidays, follow-the-sun and on-call, and be able to travel occasionally
Must be able to go into work and customer Data Centers, office locations etc.
**Skills & Qualifications**
3 - 5 years’ experience in Enterprise level Technical Support or Technical Degree equivalent with experience in Data Centers, Colocations etc.
Exceptional command of the English language & writing skills
B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent work experience
VMware Certified Professional or similar.
Outstanding troubleshooting, attention to detail, customer empathy and communication skills in a fast paced setting.
Demonstrable understanding and troubleshooting skills of data storage concepts RAID, SCSI, FC, file systems, etc Experience working with NAS protocols NFS, CIFS, FTP, HTTP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN, Firewalls, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, 802.1q, SSL, SSH etc
Good working knowledge of backup concepts and technologies including Full, Differential, and Incremental, image-based, transaction logs, VSS, consistency, disk-to-disk, disk-to-tape, replication, off-site storage, etc. Experience with cloud-based disaster recovery a plus
Hands-on Fibre-Channel, iSCSI, SAN/NAS/DAS experience, in a Windows, Linux, HP/Dell hardware including blade technology, with a thorough knowledge of physical and logical disk systems and their impact on performance
Administrator level knowledge and other core VMware production components.
A strong understanding of complex concepts related to SAN and NAS storage, Operating systems (Unix and Windows), CPU/memory architectures and Disk/RAID systems.
Working knowledge of popular hypervisors such as VMware, Xen and Hyper-V
TCP/IP based networking and troubleshooting skills
Experience in sizing, performance analysis, and troubleshooting of data storage systems, appliance experience is a plus.
VMware expertise in high-availability, patching, P2V process
Basic familiarity with standard Linux commands
**Nice To Have**:
Experience with any of the following IaaS solutions: virtual machines and networks, on-premises/hybrid cloud computing, cloud identity and security models, cloud monitoring and logging local and cloud
TCP/IP based networking and troubleshooting skills
Python scripting, Ansible
Experience with Wireshark and packet level analysis
SQL database, MongoDB, Oracle or other database knowledge
Exposure to cloud-based service provider development, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Services.
