Heritage Park is looking for Grounds Maintenance Workers (Seasonal) to join our team. Under the direction of the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor this position will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the grounds of Heritage Park

**This is a seasonal position**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Keeps grass cut and trimmed using a variety of powered equipment and hand tools, including weed eaters, ride-on and push mowers, and hedge trimmers;
- Waters and fertilizes all grass inside and outside Park gates and handles weed control throughout grass, roadways and parking lots;
- Maintains all wooded areas, roads, pathways, and parking lots by trimming, cleaning and removing garbage;
- Prepares grounds and facilities for special events, catered events and outside contractors;
- Picks up and disposes of garbage and litter throughout the Park and parking lots; and
- Acts as support service to all departments throughout the Park.

**Job Requirements**:

- Completion of High School;
- Prior experience with grounds maintenance and operation of relevant machinery is preferred;
- Class 5 Driver's license is an asset;
- Working knowledge of a variety of powered equipment and hand tools and basic carpentry skills;
- Organized, punctual, ability to work with little supervision, and flexibility to adapt to various tasks; and
- Effective at handling pressure and managing stress and strong communication skills.

**Special Clothing/Equipment & Working Conditions**:

- Costumes will be supplied by Heritage Park as required and Individuals will be required to supply their own appropriate footwear;
- Safety equipment as required will be supplied by Heritage Park and maintained by the employee.
- The incumbent must be prepared to work in a variety of weather conditions as this position works primarily outdoors; and
- A considerable amount of walking, lifting and other strenuous duties are required in order to complete the work assigned.
