AlumaSafway is currently recruiting all level **Insulators **to join our team on the LNG Kitimat project.
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd year Apprentices and Journeyperson Insulators
- Journeyperson level **MUST** be ticketed
- Long term employment - approx. 8-12 months
- 14/7 schedule for residents coming from Alberta or BC
- 21/8 schedule for residents coming from Eastern Canada
- Hub flights and camp available for non-locals

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (e.g. calcium silicate, glass foam, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass, armflex) on all types of industrial equipment (e.g. duct piping, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels).
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements.
- Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation (e.g. pin welding, wiring, banding, taping) according to the type and shape of surface, whether or not the equipment is cold or hot, inside or outside, and what the equipment is going to be used for.
- Measure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimension, as well as fitting insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coverings

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Journeyperson Insulators **MUST** be ticketed.
- CSTS 2020, Fall Protection, and Confined Space certifications required.
- Ability to read and understand blue prints, P&ID’s, piping insulation specifications.

**This position is a union position. All individuals will require successful completion of a pre-access alcohol and drug test prior to mobilizing to site.**
