**Chief Executive Officer**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Oversee all BCI’s business activities in the planning, implementation and evaluation of its operations.
- Coordinate the work of BCI’s Chief Editor and that of the Sales & Marketing Manager in its core business activities, i.e. print and digital publishing, international student recruitment, multilingual translation services, and online tutoring.
- Develop and implement plans and strategies to reach out to prospective international students (and their parents) in Asia (particularly in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan) who are interested in studying in Canada.
- Oversee the organization of large group online presentations for overseas students who want to study in Canada.
- Oversee the production of online videos for distribution via social media to promote BCI’s products and services.
- Develop and implement plans and strategies to reach learners in Hong Kong and match them to ESL teachers the company has recruited in Canada.
- Oversee the design of websites to promote and conduct BCI’s core business activities
- Manage a team of freelance translators in 15 languages, set standards and remuneration rates to ensure high quality of BCI’s translation services, and recruit new, capable translators to replenish the team when necessary.
- Explore new opportunities in the market to maximize the value of BCI’s publication assets and resources.

**QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE**
- A university degree and preferably a post-graduate degree in a scientific discipline or a technology
- related field
- High proficiency in English
- At least five years working experience in a managerial position, preferably with some experience in the publishing industry
- Expertise in the production of online videos to facilitate teaching and learning
- Familiarity with the development and maintenance of databases using online tools like MailChimp, Google Sites, Google Analytics, and Online Form
- Knowledge of e-marketing tools to identify market trends and opportunities
- Experience with the organization of large group online meetings/presentations on video conferencing platforms

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
