The **AECOM** Transportation team is seeking a talented, ambitious **Structural EIT** for our **Edmonton, AB**location supporting the railway bridge group projects.
**Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:
- Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
- Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
- Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
- Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
- Identifies discrepancies in results.
- Provides guidance to supporting technicians.
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
**Qualifications** Minimum Requirements**:
- Must have completed a bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT)
- French speaking knowledge would be an asset.
- Familiar with common structural analysis and design software
- Co-op or Intern experience
- Capable of using a spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software
- Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, SAP2000, Midas, S-Frame
- Proficiency in steel and concrete design and analysis
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Strong oral and written communication skills; including an aptitude for technical report writing
- Forward-thinking and motivated
- Team oriented
