The Merchant is responsible for building consumer right assortments for defined classifications through an understanding of historical data, current trends, and marketplace opportunities. This role reports to the VP of Merchandising and works closely with Design, Planning, Production, Digital and Brand Marketing. The Merchant will contribute to the team’s success by driving strategic vision and product strategies to optimize category performance and achieve financial and consumer strategies.

**The Opportunity**:

- Develop seasonal merchandising strategies and line plan in support of Knix’s consumer, marketing, and financial objectives
- Develop and maintain industry knowledge, competitive landscape, consumer insights, pricing strategies, and market trends
- Identify white-space opportunities to further drive and differentiate Knix from our competitors, maximize sales and strengthen the brand
- Create seasonal hind-sighting and translate learnings into actionable business strategies
- Manage pre-season and in-season business to identify opportunities to drive sales, margin, and the Knix consumer experience

**Qualifications**:

- Ability to manage multiple seasons in various stages of development
- Minimum 3 years of merchandising and/or product creation experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, merchandising, or related field preferred
- Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and/or Keynote and Excel
