**This Visual Merchandiser Job Is for You, If You Enjoy**:

- Optimizing sales by rearranging and merchandising floor fixtures, displays and current promotions. This includes arranging signage and coordinating the take down of displays and signage after the promotion ends. Highly creative, the Visual Merchandiser is a team player, good negotiator, enthusiastic with a natural finesse for color, balance and composition.

**Visual Merchandiser Key Responsibilities**:
**Customers**
- Maintains professional communication with co-workers, staff and management
- Works closely with the Retail General Manager to work out the floor layout and display points in the shops

**Sales & Operations**
- Manages service, atmosphere and presentation within shops
- Initiates and maximizes all possible marketing/merchandising opportunities to increase sales
- Works collaboratively with Airport Marketing team and assists
- Oversees product displays and assists in maintaining shop standards
- Ensures window designs, internal displays and other merchandising of promotional events are enticing to customers
- Ensures the music and visuals used in shops provides an enjoyable environment
- Ensures the visual department and window displays meet with promotional guidelines
- Maintains strong understanding of current retail and market trends and innovative visual approaches
- Assists in training efforts (i.e. training staff in maintaining merchandise standards)

**Communications**
- Executes the supplier and category manager planograms in-shops and ensures that supervisors maintain the same
- Ensures that all appropriate reports and information are provided to the relevant parties on a timely basis

**General**
- Performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or leadership team of which the team member is capable of performing
- Maintains and observes all company and shop policies
- Maintains the highest standards of professional conduct and behavior
- Ensures correct implementation of corporate identity and brand marks in all the areas of the company
- Ensures all company controls and procedures are maintained in regards to loss prevention
- Utilizes all shop assets only for the business purpose as they were intended
- Follows all safety procedures and policies
- Attends meetings, training seminars and events as directed by management

**Required Qualifications**:

- College diploma in retail merchandising or related program (or a combination of education and experience)
- Excellent computer literacy skills
- Strong organizational and record keeping skills
- Demonstrated experience in visual merchandising, operating within operating standards
- Primarily works in a retail store environment; occasionally works in office environment
- Must be able to work flexible shifts; some weekends, late nights, and overnights, if required. Vancouver based but must be able to travel as required
- Work weekdays, weekends and holidays
