A journeyman Millwright responsible for completion and coordination all plant maintenance activities. Including related planning, purchasing, and project management. **Main duties and responsibilities**: - Answers service calls and troubleshoots; - Plans and performs preventative maintenance on the plant and equipment; - Performs repairs on Mechanical components (pneumatics, hydraulics, gear boxes, etc); - Weld with stick or TIG; - Knows the operation of electro-mechanical components (sensors, PLC, relay logic etc); - Lead plant improvement projects on his own or in cooperation with internal or external resources; - Contributes to the plant's overall improvement using 5S and continuous improvement methods; - Uses creativity to improve the maintenance process in the plant and MAPEI Inc; - Can work flexibly across shifts as required; - Trains operators to properly perform maintenance tasks; - Responsible to plan all maintenance activities using the CMMS and control maintenance cost using the budget software; - On a day to day basis, ensures that he meets hygiene, safety and sanitary conditions; complies to health and safety government rules and regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Industrial Establishments as well as environmental ones; that all "accident/incident investigation reports" are done properly within defined time limits (same shift or within 24 hours) as well as that permanent and appropriate corrective measures be taken immediately and that all necessary inspections are being conducted properly; - Other related duties. **Skills and competencies required**: - Education: Red Seal Millwright with HSD Journeyman or technology certificate - Some Project management experience - Years of experience: 5 years of experience - Languages Spoken and Written : English - Mathematical aptitudes, Technical Problem resolution skills - Execution of complex tasks, Coordination and Dexterity, Project management - Safety Practices, Investigation and accident analysis and non conformities - Mechanical processes, Diagnosis Techniques (Inspection), Workplace inspection techniques - Technical Software: Computerized Maintenance Management system (MainBoss) - Understanding financial world, Buying Processes - Autonomy, Perserverence, Detailed (Rigorous) - Analytical Capacity, Syntheizing mind, Sense of planning and organization - Time and Priorities Management, Can work under pressure, Sense of responsibilities - Leadership, Innovative capacity, Team spirit, Business knowledge, Sense of customer service, Proactivity **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week **Benefits**: - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - Paid time off - RRSP match - Tuition reimbursement - Vision care - Wellness program Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
