Maintenance Coordinator

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this position will be responsible for coordinating daily activities in the Maintenance Department in support of Operations activities.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinates all activities that pertain to regular and preventative maintenance to ensure work is performed in a safe and productive manner
- Responsible for scheduling and planning resources to ensure the maintenance crew meets schedule requirements
- Reports daily work order status and assists with weekly crew meetings
- Uses software programs in support of Facilities Maintenance to:
- create, monitor, and complete work orders and purchase orders, including tracking status of purchased and fabricated components
- create and update equipment and tool records
- transfer data files to/from external parties
- Carries out complete Purchasing cycle (source, request and receive quotes, prepare purchase requisitions, place purchase orders, track & report status) for materials, parts, shop supplies, and services for the department and in support of various projects within the organization
- Acts as liaison between suppliers and internal resources, fielding questions and requests, investigating, and providing responses as needed
- Maintains the Approved Supplier List for Facilities Maintenance
- Monitors and maintains shop supplies and parts inventory levels and compiles related reports
- Tracks and reports preventative maintenance program status
- Prints drawings for internal shop use and provides files for supplier use when ordering custom parts
- Administers Site Visit Requests for suppliers, contractors, and other visitors in support of departments
- Assists with regulatory reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Interacts with a wide variety of resources, including managers and employees of various levels, both union and non-union, suppliers, customers, and regulatory representatives
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Education in Industrial, Mechanical, Operations or Facilities disciplines or in a similar technical field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ industrial experience preferred, ideally in a unionized environment
- Experience purchasing materials, parts, and services in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Strong administration, planning, scheduling, and prioritization skills
- Proficient in MS Office specifically Word and Excel
- Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to read design documents and technical drawings considered an asset
- Knowledge of industrial facilities and processes considered an asset
- Knowledge of environmental regulatory reporting considered an asset
- Ability to obtain Controlled Goods clearance (internal process)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
