Site Superintendent

Overview

The Nisku based Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the professional execution and delivery of our landscape maintenance or construction, ensuring that all seasonal objectives are met, team members and subcontractors are compliant with service agreements and clients are provided with exceptional customer service. This is a salaried, year-round position that comes with company perks.

Main Responsibilities
- Demonstrating safety leadership and safe work practices at all times
- Working in accordance with ULS policies and procedures
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Demonstrating strong leadership skills and able to lead a crew
- Overseeing the professional execution of landscape maintenance and snow and ice management services within your service area, this includes quality control checks of all sites on a regular basis
- Ensuring subcontractors adhere to contractual obligations for maintenance and snow
- Defining and understanding the scope, standards and expectations of all contracts and services and ensuring they are executed in an efficient manner
- Monitoring properties for opportunities to enhance aesthetics, safety, health and value and communicating findings to clients and our sales team
- Addressing client questions, concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Motivating and helping to retain quality team members throughout the maintenance division
- Helping generate new maintenance and snow business each year
- Producing daily KPI dashboard reports
- Key objectives for Landscape Maintenance
- Assisting in the development of new training techniques for the green season
- Working closely with sales team on new quotes and understanding existing green season clients contracts
- Assisting in development and scheduling of landscape maintenance operations work forecast

Education, Experience,

**Required Skills**:

- Snow and ice management designation (C.S.P. or other)
- Minimum 3 years industry experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory role
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability and mentorship experience
- Working knowledge of the use of common hand and power tools relative to landscape maintenance
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
- Ability to maintain simple records and make verbal reports
- Strong adherence to ULS safety policies and protocol
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous landscaping, snow removal and/or maintenance experience is an asset
- Ability to take direction, learn and work independently as well as part of a team
- Motivated and energetic team player with an attention to detail and great work ethic

Working conditions
- Flexible work schedule with availability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends
- 80% time outside onsite & 20% time indoors - office/truck
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push and pull weights of up to 100 lbs
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy intensive tasks for extended periods of time
- Working in a variety of outdoor environments with the ability to withstand cold and hot temperatures
