SGC is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Estimator. This position requires someone with a keen eye for detail, the ability to build trust-based relationships with customers and staff and a results-oriented attitude.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Examine and analyze tenders
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Estimate project costs including materials, labour and equipment requirements
- Attend project walkthroughs and site visits
- Consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners and contractors
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors
- Negotiate pricing with vendors
- Work with Project Management team to transition from estimating to project execution
- Monitor bid websites for potential projects, evaluate and make recommendations
- Ensure adherence to Ontario Health & Safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service

**Qualifications**
- Electrical Journeyman, Master Electrician, Electrical Engineer, or Certified Engineering Technologist with 5+ years’ field experience
- Proven estimating experience
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organization and time-management skills, with a profound ability to multitask
- Critical thinking, mathematical ability, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills - Microsoft suite of products, CAD
- Leadership skills and the ability to build trust-based relationships with customers and staff

**Compensation Package**

SGC offers a competitive package, which includes base pay, performance bonus, medical & dental benefits, life insurance, group RRSP, pension plan and opportunities to advance your career and build your portfolio.

**Salary**: $42,000.00-$87,360.00 per year
