**Summary**:
The Business Analyst is primarily responsible to act as a liaison between the Information Technology (IT) group and the Business Unit partners. This position represents the business perspective of process improvement and system development projects. The Business Analyst will work with the Business Units to: define business requirements, develop business processes, validate business processes against systems, execute user testing and participate in end user training. The Business Analyst will be knowledgeable both from a business perspective and a system functionality perspective.

**Responsibilities**:
Analysis and Solution Definition
- Facilitates dialogues and ensures development team understands business requirements
- Documents and analyzes required information and data
- Prepares requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations

Technical Recommendation and Testing
- Understands technical design specifications
- Defines test conditions
- Develops accurate and complete test plans
- Conducts testing according to plan
- Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions

Project Execution
- Provides project management coordination
- Facilitates meetings, requirements sessions
- Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules
- Understands the necessity of project standards and applies them consistently
- Develops internal and external meeting objectives and agendas
- Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively
- Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project

Leadership
- Follows through with commitments and fosters mutual trust with fellow Innovators
- Assumes additional responsibility without being asked
- Encourages fellow team members to make innovative contributions and embrace new ideas

Innovator Development
- Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies
- Shares acquired skills with team members through formal and informal channels
- Encourages more junior Innovators to take responsibility for their development within the company

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Business Analyst and/or equivalent work experience;
- Experience delivering projects in traditional and agile approaches;
- 4 - 6 years of experience in business or systems analysis with medium to large scale deployments;
- Strong ability to build consensus;
- Ability to influence others;
- Experience working both independently and in a team oriented collaborative environment;
- Strong experience in current software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
- Retail experience an asset.
