**Job Overview**
Kreston GTA is looking for a tax accountant experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our growing tax department in Markham. Kreston GTA is a six-partner firm located in Markham and Aurora which provides accounting, tax, assurance and related services to corporations and individuals. Our client base is diverse from various industries.

**Overview of Position**:
This versatile role will involve working directly with a number of our staff and clients. We are looking for an individual whom is committed to a career in taxation and has the desire to take a lead role in managing cross border tax, restructuring, estate and other tax engagements and contributing both to the growth of the firm and our clients.

**Requirements of Position**:

- Canadian and/or US Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
- Enrollment in the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course or relevant work experience
- Two to Three years of experience with Canadian tax
- A background in tax compliance and accounting for income tax and a broad understanding of Canadian income taxation
- Experience in issues relevant to owner managed businesses
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload and multiple deadlines
- Strong leadership skills and ability to coach and develop team members
- Proficiency in ProSystem fx Tax, CaseWare, TaxPrep, CCH iFirm/ IntelliConnect and Microsoft Office
