Material Handler - Heavy Lifter Emerson

Emerson Commercial and Residential Solutions has an immediate opening for a **Material Handler **reporting to the **Team Leader**. In this position, you would be part of the perfect execution team, responsible for properly shipping all products, supplier returns, or other material releases. Verifying the accurate completion of all shipment documents, perform electronic transactions within the business operating system, and performing daily organization and cleanup of work area.

**Requirements**:

- 1 year warehouse experience (shipping clerk experience in a manufacturing environment)
- High School Diploma
- Computer Literate
- Forklift certification preferred but not required
- Ability to use various hand and power tools
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
- Ability to use carts and manual lifting devices to move products within the warehouse

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Properly ship all products, supplier returns, or other material releases
- Verifies the accurate completion of all shipment documents
- Determines freight costs
- Ensures that all container markings are properly applied
- Selects and schedules freight lines for shipment
- Performs electronic transactions within the business operating system
- Interacts with internal and external customers to ensure compliance with customer shipping requirements
- Monitors and maintains packaging inventory
- Safely operates and maintains all material handling equipment
- Participates in continuous improvement processes
- Performs daily organization and cleanup of work area
- Follows safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions and incidents to supervision
- Performs work of a miscellaneous nature as required
