**POSITION OVERVIEW**

As a vital member of our operations team, we are looking for a Seasonal Labourer to aid in the installation of guard rail, cable barrier, and other safety systems. Working closely with the Site Superintendents and Foreman, the Labourer will play a vital role in supporting project completion.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Complete pre and post trip inspections on vehicles and trailers
- Secure cargo and heavy equipment to flat deck and double drop deck trucks
- Safely drive and operate vehicles out to infrastructure job sites throughout the city
- Operate various hand and power tools; including drills, skid steers, etc.
- Install signs, guard rail, barrier, and other safety systems
- Assist operators in loading and unloading construction materials from trucks both manually and utilizing the use of equipment
- Execute daily work under the direction of the site superintendent
- Participate in daily safety meetings and fill out hazard assessments
- Maintain a clean work site by handling materials and storing them properly
- Report incidents immediately to health and safety or site supervisor

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous labour experience in a construction environment
- Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract
- Ability to work evening and weekends when required
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Preferably, experience with installation of guard rail, cable barrier, and highway sign structures
- Preferably, class 3 license

**HOURS OF WORK**

Hours of work may vary depending upon project schedules and timelines; however, must be capable of working a minimum schedule of Monday through Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm with weekend and evening work when required.
