**Position**

Join the NEW WEST GROUP of Companies team as a full-time **General Labourer. **Your expertise in setting up fencing, installing heating systems, delivering and installing equipment, and building temporary gravel pads on construction sites as bases for our propane tanks on various job sites will be pivotal.

**Responsibilities**

As a **General Labourer **on our team, you will:

- Installing Security Fencing on job sites, as well as tarping projects for protection from weather elements
- Install heaters at designated locations within residential construction areas, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to specifications
- Operate compaction equipment
- Built temporary gravel pads on the construction site as based for our propane tanks
- Collaborate with project managers and onsite supervisor to ensure effective communication, address any concerns or issues, and perform necessary job requirements
- Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment in compliance with all safety regulations and procedures
- Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks within deadlines
- Perform general cleanup and maintenance

**Essential Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction-related labor activities
- Good physical stamina and the capacity to perform laborious jobs outdoors in all seasonal conditions
- Proven ability to follow directions and demonstrate great communication skills and capacity to work on a team
- Strong knowledge of various fencing materials, tools, and techniques, with the ability to assess project requirements and provide recommendations
- Previous experience in labour-intensive roles such as landscaping, or concrete preparation experience
- Strong knowledge of operating compaction equipment
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project needs
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and a track record of promoting a safe working environment
- Proficient in using hand tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
