**Nurse Practitioner Job Description**

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare to patients across various settings. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and providing comprehensive care that promotes health and wellness. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing patient outcomes and ensuring a positive experience for those you serve.

**What you’ll do**
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care across various specialties, including gastroenterology and emergency medicine.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and spinal taps as required.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health management, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Stay current with clinical research and advancements in nursing practices to enhance patient care.

**Basic qualifications**
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the relevant state.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

**Preferred qualifications**
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 for accurate billing processes.
- Background in critical care or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in performing esthetic procedures such as botulinum toxin treatment and dermal fillers.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
