Inventory & Demand Planning Associate

**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Inventory and Demand Planning Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring inventory availability, accuracy, and integrity to fulfill orders on time and accurately. This position will be responsible for supporting the order processing team through delivery of key warehouse documents for execution, as well as sales and procurement teams to ensure adequate stock on hand to fulfill orders while minimizing waste.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Order Fulfillment**_
- Collaborate with Order Processing teams to ensure that current and upcoming sales requirements can be met with adequate stock on shelves in support of daily order fulfillment
- Assign lots and items to orders in a timely fashion, monitor sales order queues to ensure warehouse picks are being created and executed in a timely manner
- Coordinate the filling of shelves through our pre-pack program as well as in season orders to efficiently stock shelves throughout the year
- Manage inventory adjustments and transfers as needed
- Manage inventory location and BIN assignments to ensure inventory locations remain accurate
- **Planning**_
- Develop inventory projections during low season to support procurement and sales departments in determining quantity requirements for the upcoming selling season
- Maintain inventory availability to meet sales requirements through development and maintenance of inventory forecasting models to optimize stocking levels and minimizing excess inventory
- **Additional Responsibilities**_
- Support the annual inventory count, with period cycle counts throughout the year as required
- Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate inventory findings and observations to management
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in inventory management and pricing strategy
- Other duties as assigned by the Inventory and Demand Planning Supervisor

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain management, or related field
- Experience working in a distribution environment considered an asset
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management, sales order management, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems is a plus
- Knowledge of distribution industry practices and trends is preferred
