**Position Purpose and Summary**

The International Student Services Manager will work to provide excellent care and support for TWU’s growing demographic of international students—both graduate and undergraduate. They will collaborate with departments such as Enrolment Management and Admissions, Office of the Registrar, Service Hub, ACT Seminaries’ and TWU GLOBAL to help the University achieve its enrolment and retention goals. The Manager will work closely with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to advise in areas such as Study Permits and Temporary Resident Visas. They will ensure quality customer service and prompt response to all student inquiries and requests.

**Key Areas of Accountability**
- Provide an integrated and seamless approach to immigration service delivery in collaboration with Enrolment Management and the Office of the Registrar.
- Ensure TWU’s compliance with IRCC requirements by keeping informed current policy and procedures.
- Submit compliance reports to IRCC on international student study permits as required.
- Design and deliver information sessions and workshops on relevant topics to equip students for success.
- Regularly update international student services web content.
- Formulate policy recommendations addressing current and potential issues related to student immigration status as related to study at Trinity Western University.
- Work with the Global Engagement team and the Assistant Director of Intercultural Programs and Services to coordinate international student services & programs.
- Collaborate on University-wide retention efforts, serving on internal working groups including the International Student Service Committee.
- Liaise and collaborate with internal and external partners to provide seamless and knowledgeable services and referrals.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Robust, evergreen knowledge of Canadian immigration regulation and policies for international students.
- Advanced English language oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with a wide stakeholder network, including students, parents, faculty members, University administration, lawyers, and Canadian Immigration officials.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently, accurately, and courteously while under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize and operate efficiently within a policy-driven and service-oriented workplace
- Demonstrated ability to render informed, legally compliant, independent decisions with clear policy references.
- Ability to build bridges across different departments, skilled in interpersonal leadership, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
- Skilled in the use of various software and database programs, especially the Microsoft Office suite.

- For purposes of IRCC engagement, French as a second language

**Standards & Requirements**

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Registration, in good standing, with The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants

**Experience**:

- Experience working with diverse students, ideally in a post-secondary context.
- Demonstrated experience assessing and resolving student service issues, or
