**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual, with financial background(i.e. accountant, financial advisor etc) to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction of our organization, ensuring that we fulfill our mission and serve our stakeholders effectively. Support Services Group is a non profit organization that provides supports for individuals living with a disability, to enable them to live in their community of choice, while maintaining control over their lives.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the organization’s mission and vision.
- Participate in board meetings and contribute to discussions on key issues affecting the organization.
- Engage in business development initiatives to expand the organization’s reach and impact.
- Negotiate agreements and partnerships that align with organizational goals.
- Oversee process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support project management efforts by providing insights and resources for successful execution of initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards in all organizational activities.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in finance.
- Experience in non profit or servicing on a board of directors
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A commitment to the organization's mission and values, along with a passion for making a difference

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 36 months

Pay: From $1.00 per year

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- management: 1 year (preferred)
