**Overview**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to join our team. As a Marketing Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our marketing efforts and helping us achieve our business goals. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you can contribute your skills and creativity.

**What are we looking for?**

As a Marketing Co-op/Volunteer Student, you will:

- Lead the day-to-day management of our corporate and properties’ digital channels, creating inspirational, informative, and engaging photo and video content.
- Plan, produce and create digital content to be used across all our digital channels, increasing engagement with our audiences.
- Develop creative ideas, suggest new innovative ways of delivering digital content and keep up to date with the latest digital marketing trends, industry insights and platform updates.
- Create graphics and edit photos, working with the internal marketing team when necessary.
- Create awareness and interest within our audiences, driving traffic to engage with digital content.
- Monitor, analyze and report on the performance of digital channels/activities using tools like Later social posting app, feeding back to stakeholders, and using the data to inform future activities.
- Prioritize and schedule work effectively, anticipating problems and adjusting the allocation of resources and time accordingly.
- Attend events, committee meetings and functions as and when appropriate.

**Required Skills**:

- 2-3 years experience in marketing, social media marketing and digital marketing
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications or public relations or other equivalent experience
- Able to conceptualize and implement marketing, social media and communication strategies
- Very strong written, proof-reading, editing and copy writing skills relating to content and communicating strategies
- Strong design knowledge and carry out basic design layouts using imaging and design software (Photoshop and/or Canva), working knowledge of video editing software, and Google Analytics
- Demonstrated successful execution of digital campaign and a/b testing practices
- Ability to plan, build, and execute marketing strategy
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with extreme attention to detail
- Visual design: visualizing information and building storyboards.
- Creative thinking and confident critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
