Looking for a FOOD SERVICE WORKER/DIETARY AIDE for an Italian Long Term Care home

As a Food Service Worker/Dietary Aide, you will be essential in delivering high-quality meal service to residents in our Long Term Care Facility. Your core skills in food preparation and customer service will ensure that meals are not only nutritious but also enjoyable. You will be responsible for food handling and maintaining food safety standards, while your time management skills will help you efficiently serve meals. With a Food Handler Certification, you will contribute to a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, supporting the overall well-being of our Residents..Preference will be given to individuals who have successfully completed their Food Handlers Certificate from Public Health Unit and is current. 3 dose-Vaccination, Police check and TB testing required.

- Responsibilities include: setting, clearing, cleaning of dishes portioning meal items as per resident/nursing request; making tea and coffee; laundry and waste removal
- Must be able to read, write and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must demonstrate proper food preparation and presentation for a variety of cultural preferences.
- Must be knowledgeable about the Long-Term Care Act
- Must be knowledgeable of special, therapeutic, and texture modified diets
- Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift.
- Must be able to work accurately, quickly, and safely.
- Must be an effective team player that works well with others.
- Must be able to work and communicate effectively with long-term care residents.

shifts: variation of 6:30am-2:15pm; 1030am-630pm; 345-8:00pm

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.06 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 24 per week
