**Grinding Operator**

**Location**

Copper Mountain Mine, is located near the town of Princeton, British Columbia at the center of the scenic
Similkameen Valley. Princeton is a community-oriented town with a diverse offering of activities,
especially for those who love the outdoors. Princeton is also in close proximity to both the city of
Vancouver and the Okanagan.

**Summary**

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mill Operations, the Grinding Operator is responsible for safe completion of

circuit checks and reporting any failures immediately back to the supervisor.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Operates fork-lift or other equipment as required,
- Conducts circuit checks, takes densities, and reports all mechanical failures immediately,
- Assists in operational problems of the circuit,
- Conducts all activities safely and follows all safety requirements and SOPs,
- Performs any other responsibilities related to the Grinding Operator position as required or as

assigned by the department head.

**Education & Experience**
- Trained operating a grinding circuit,
- Experience completing shutdowns and startups is an asset,
- Possess a valid Class 5/7N driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.

**Required Skills**:

- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills,
- Self-motivated and be able to work with mínimal supervision,
- Strong work ethic, capable of performing tasks with mínimal supervision,
- Have high regard for personal safety and the safety of company property and employees,
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously,
- Will be required to be clean-shaven,
- Required to meet pre-employment testing requirements.

**Working Conditions**
- Frequent exposure to uncomfortable conditions associated with the work environment such as noise

and working in dusty and wet environments,
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, heavy lifting, awkward positions, walking

and standing.
**Other Requirements**
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening requirements and drug & alcohol testing,
- Provide proof of a valid class 5/7N driver’s license,
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada,
- Provide confirmation of valid educational requirements.
