New Directions is a social service agency offering a wide range of resources and services that foster the hopes and dreams of people and their communities.

We are currently seeking part-time Direct Support Workers to join the Shift Staffed Homes team.** Shift Staffed Homes (SSH)** is one of the many services within Adult Services at New Directions; providing person-centered support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities who may experience complex health issues. SSH strives to promote a sense of belonging and provide opportunities to engage in a meaningful life. This is achieved by creating a home environment that welcomes the participation of adults, supporting their pursuits, interests, goals, and helping maintain and strengthen the bond between the adults and their significant others. We provide an environment that is non-judgmental, safe and caring.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

**SHIFT TIMES**

**POSTION 1**
- 24- Thursday - Saturday- 3pm-11pm**POSITION 2**
- 16- Friday - Saturday- 11pm-7am**POSITION 3**
- 10- Thursday- 11pm-9am**POSITION 4**
- Varied- Varied- Varied Duties include:
Working as part of a team providing care, support and guidance to individuals in their homes and in the community,

Administering medication,

Providing transportation, and

Performing household chores.

Qualifications:
Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Health Care Aide Certificate/training considered an asset

First Aid/CPR training considered an asset

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (NCI) considered an asset

American Sign Language (ASL) is considered an asset

The salary range for part-time positions is $17.11 to $23.10 per hour, dependent upon education and/or experience.
