- S'assurer que la cuisine est organisée, aseptisée et que toutes les mesures de sécurité sont respectées. Doit être conforme à toutes les exigences provinciales en matière de santé et de sécurité.
- Veiller à l'organisation et au rangement adéquat de la vaisselle, des ustensiles, etc. Veiller à l'organisation et au rangement adéquat des aliments dans le réfrigérateur, le congélateur, sur l'îlot et dans la salle d'entreposage (y compris le réfrigérateur et le congélateur-chambre).
- S'assurer que les aliments sont correctement étiquetés.
- Appliquer et respecter toutes les normes et réglementations en matière de sécurité alimentaire.

**Qualifications**:

- Une expérience préalable en cuisine, en art culinaire ou dans d'autres domaines connexes est préférable.
- Une connaissance des équipements de cuisine et des techniques de cuisson est requise

We are seeking a Full-Time permanent Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our dedicated kitchen staff You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in the shelter, while taking directions from the kitchen supervisor.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare meals as directed by the kitchen supervisor
- Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
- Follow standard recipes and the meal plans as indicated by the kitchen supervisor
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
- Ensure kitchen is organized, sanitized and all safety measure are met. Must be aligned with all provincial health and safety requirements.
- Ensure organization and proper storage of dishes, utensils, etc.
- Ensure organization and proper storage of food in the refrigerator, freezer, on the island and in the storage room (including walk-in fridge and freezer)
- Ensure that food is properly labelled.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques is required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in teams
- Time management skills required
